Our Team

Dr. Crystal Eylar is a licensed optometric glaucoma specialist and therapeutic optometrist in Midlothian, TX. She was raised in Midlothian and is a proud alumna of Midlothian High School. She then graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. She went on to the University of Houston College of Optometry, graduating cum laude in 2012 with her Doctorate of Optometry. During her time there, she participated in the student research program, served as a Teaching Assistant, and was nominated as an officer in the Beta Sigma Kappa honor society. In her clinical rotations, she gained extensive experience in managing glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, dry eye, difficult-to-fit contact lenses, and pediatrics. Dr. Eylar has also completed additional extensive training in myopia management and orthokeratology.

Dr. Eylar is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Texas Optometric Association, and The American Association of Myopia Management and Orthokeratology.

In her free time, she enjoys reading, running, traveling to new places with her husband Eric, with whom she has been married for over 15 years, and spending time with their three children. She is actively involved at her children's school, church, and spends a lot of time on the soccer fields.

Dr. Eylar is preparing to open Midlothian Eye Care in the Spring of 2024. She is thrilled for the opportunity to provide friendly, hometown service while offering the latest in technology.
